Cavity soft close door is an elegant, space-saving door system that can make a significant difference in the appearance and functionality of a room. Cavity soft close door is a sliding door that closes softly from both directions. Since the door is specially designed to disappear in a wall recess, there is no need to leave space for it to swing into or out of the room, and it does not obstruct pathways. Unlike sliding doors that slide along a track but remain visible in the room, the sliding pocket door leaves very little evidence of its presence. When completely pushed back into the pocket, all you see is a smooth and clean opening.
Sliding pocket doors offer much more design flexibility and options for furniture placement, storage, and open-plan spaces. Popular locations include dressing rooms, laundry rooms, utility rooms, and master bathrooms.
The wall constructed for the sliding pocket door will be thicker than a standard interior wall. You will lose about 15cm of space in your room, but in return, you will gain all the practicality and clean lines of the sliding pocket door.
A recessed pull handle placed on the side edges of the door gives a flawless appearance and allows the door to be pulled into place. While various handles with locking mechanisms or without locking mechanisms are available, adding a privacy lock to the sliding pocket door may be problematic.
Extra wide sliding pocket doors are possible, but they need to be custom designed and built. If solid wood or wood veneer is specified, the door is custom-made by a carpenter when the frame of the pocket is installed on-site. As a result, a custom-made door is a much more expensive option than choosing from standard sliding pocket doors. Frameless glass doors are not suitable as sliding pocket doors, but frosted glass or glass panel doors are compatible with sliding pocket door systems.

WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Ideal Hardware (“Company” or “Seller”) warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year period from the date of purchase. The Company will, at its option, repair or replace any products which in the opinion of the Company are found to be defective, provided said products are returned to Ideal Hardware, freight prepaid. The Company reserves the right to inspect the installation of defective products before any removal and return of any such products.
This warranty is limited to Ideal Hardware’s option to the repair, or at Ideal Hardware’s option, the replacement of any products proven to be faulty in manufacture or materials, with the same or equivalent product free of charge. Labour charges, transportation and other costs associated with the replacement or re-installation of the parts or product are excluded from this warranty and will not be paid by Ideal Hardware.
This warranty excludes deterioration of coated finishes, unless those finishes are specifically listed in the product warranty.
Consumers do not have a right to return a product if they:
- changed their mind and no longer want the product,
- ordered the wrong product.
Ideal Hardware accepts no liability under warranty for the following additional exclusions or conditions:
1) The warranty shall not cover any defect or damage which may be caused or partly caused by or arise through:
i) Failure on the part of the Buyer to properly install or maintain any goods. Inaccurate or incorrect site or operational specifications;
ii) Use of replacement parts other than authorised parts; repair or modification other than as authorised by Ideal Hardware;
iii) Failure on the part of the Buyer to follow any instructions or guidelines provided by the Seller;
iv) Any use of any goods otherwise than for any application specified on a quote or order form accepted by Seller;
v) The continued use of any goods after any defect becomes apparent or would have become apparent to a reasonably prudent operator or user;
vi) Fair wear and tear, or any accident or act of God.
viii) The warranty shall cease and the Seller shall thereafter in no circumstances be liable under the terms of the warranty if the goods are repaired, altered or overhauled without the Seller’s consent.
iix) In respect of all claims the Seller shall not be liable to compensate the Buyer for any delay in either replacing or repairing the goods or in properly assessing the Buyer’s claim.
2) For goods not manufactured by the Seller the warranty shall be the current warranty provided by the manufacturer of goods, if any, and to the extent that such warranty can be transferred by Seller to Buyer.
3) No other warranties, express or implied, are made with respect to the products or services including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
This warranty does not exclude, restrict or modify any statutory rights.
Ideal Hardware shall in no event be liable for any incidental or consequential damages for breach of any warranty.
