This face mounted aluminum automatic door seal features a silicone rubber seal. Used to close the gap at the bottom of single-leaf doors to maintain acoustic, smoke or energy efficiency performance. The seal contains a high-efficiency spring-loaded mechanism that presses the seal down when the door closes and automatically retracts it when the door opens.
Automatic door bottom seal
The automatic door seal is designed to fill the gap between the floor and the bottom of the door. Automatic bottom seals use a mechanically spring-loaded system that seals tightly when the door is closed and lifts up when the door is opened. It can be surface-mounted or concealed, depending on the type, and can even work on most uneven surfaces.
Automatic door bottom sealing has many advantages over regular door sweeping. The most obvious is that the seal only drops when the door is closed, which allows for a tighter seal and prevents rubbing during the closing cycle.
