Eco-friendly pneumatic sliding door self closer is semi-automatic and works without an external power supply. It is designed to automatically close doors after they have been opened, utilising air pressure to facilate the closing mechanism. This type of door closer is particularly effective in high traffic areas, helping ensure energy efficiency, security and the containment of controlled environment. Such as in hospitals or laboratories, schools, nursing homes & swimming pools, IT centres, offices, etc.
Easy to install and easy to use. When the door is opened manually, the self-closing feature allows the door to close automatically. It has a slow closing feature that works just like an automatic door.

Components:

Pneumatic Cylinder: This is the main component that uses compressed air to produce the closing force. When the door opens, air is drawn into the cylinder, and when released, it pushes the piston back to close the door.
Control Valve: This regulates the air flow into and out of the cylinder, controlling the speed of the door as it closes. The sliding door self closer has an adjustable valve to customize the closing speed. You can find the adjustment screw at the other end where the pistons are not.
Arm or Linkage: The linkage connects the pneumatic cylinder to the door. It transfers the linear motion of the piston to the door, facilitating its movement.
Mounting Hardware: This includes brackets and screws necessary to install the system onto the door frame and door.

Standard body length: 693 mm. Suits door width between 700 mm – 1,150 mm.

Door weight: Can be installed for door weights up to 80 kg* (depending on the sliding smoothness of the doors). If the rolling system is smooth enough, even the light duty can carry an 80 kg door.

The 4 series sliding door closer has 4 tubes. Can fit narrow door width, and can open much wider compared to its small body length.

Applicable door width: 450~930mm.
Wide range of applications for door weights from 1 kg to 50 kg.
It provides very practical and easy installation.
Soft closing speed can be adjusted. Please note: You cannot adjust the force of the door closer. Only the slow closing speed can be adjusted.
It is very suitable for sliding screen doors of standard size (up to 920mm).

WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Ideal Hardware (“Company” or “Seller”) warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year period from the date of purchase. The Company will, at its option, repair or replace any products which in the opinion of the Company are found to be defective, provided said products are returned to Ideal Hardware, freight prepaid. The Company reserves the right to inspect the installation of defective products before any removal and return of any such products.

This warranty is limited to Ideal Hardware’s option to the repair, or at Ideal Hardware’s option, the replacement of any products proven to be faulty in manufacture or materials, with the same or equivalent product free of charge. Labour charges, transportation and other costs associated with the replacement or re-installation of the parts or product are excluded from this warranty and will not be paid by Ideal Hardware.

This warranty excludes deterioration of coated finishes, unless those finishes are specifically listed in the product warranty.

Consumers do not have a right to return a product if they:

changed their mind and no longer want the product,
ordered the wrong product.

Ideal Hardware accepts no liability under warranty for the following additional exclusions or conditions:

1) The warranty shall not cover any defect or damage which may be caused or partly caused by or arise through:

i) Failure on the part of the Buyer to properly install or maintain any goods. Inaccurate or incorrect site or operational specifications;

ii) Use of replacement parts other than authorised parts; repair or modification other than as authorised by Ideal Hardware;

iii) Failure on the part of the Buyer to follow any instructions or guidelines provided by the Seller;

iv) Any use of any goods otherwise than for any application specified on a quote or order form accepted by Seller;

v) The continued use of any goods after any defect becomes apparent or would have become apparent to a reasonably prudent operator or user;

vi) Fair wear and tear, or any accident or act of God.

viii) The warranty shall cease and the Seller shall thereafter in no circumstances be liable under the terms of the warranty if the goods are repaired, altered or overhauled without the Seller’s consent.

iix) In respect of all claims the Seller shall not be liable to compensate the Buyer for any delay in either replacing or repairing the goods or in properly assessing the Buyer’s claim.

2) For goods not manufactured by the Seller the warranty shall be the current warranty provided by the manufacturer of goods, if any, and to the extent that such warranty can be transferred by Seller to Buyer.

3) No other warranties, express or implied, are made with respect to the products or services including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

This warranty does not exclude, restrict or modify any statutory rights.

Ideal Hardware shall in no event be liable for any incidental or consequential damages for breach of any warranty.

Installation

There is a simple way that can help you to choose possible door closer force level:

Use just one finger (not your arm) to push on your door and see, how far the door moves. If the movement of the door is less than 25mm – 30mm, it may not be possible to install a sliding door closer, at that case. Please improve the efficiency of sliding rollers first. Also look for other factors that create friction. For example, weather seals, etc. The power selection in the table is for reference only.

Choose the appropriate position for the sliding door closer on the top jamb or door leaf.
Install the closer 5cm back from the striker, not in line with the striker (See the first two images below). In this way, the closer always applies load to the door and helps to bring the door back even in small openings.
Make sure the mounting brackets are fixed horizontally and carefully levelled.
After securing the two mounting brackets, place the sliding door closer in to the mounting brackets.

Sliding Door Closer Operation Check and Speed Adjustment:

Check the operation of the door closer by opening and closing the door.
Adjust the Speed Valve to the desired speed. The speed valve adjustment screw is at the other end of the door closer where the pistons are not. (Clockwise for slow scrolling and counterclockwise for fast scrolling)
